- some news: getty images is cracking down on illegal use of its copyrighted photography -- this includes "avatars", or, in other words, potentially LJ icons. many of my previous icons were made using getty images, and to be on the safe side, I'd recommend you delete them from your account. getty is prosecuting those who have images uploaded to their servers or accounts, regardless of whether or not they got it from a different source.

- in light of that, all previous entries in this journal are friendslocked. future entries will not be.

All icons from now on will be made with images free for use, however that might work.

I have no idea if anyone would care about using this, but just in case -- I made a January desktop calendar of Jason Dohring and Ryan Hansen (from Veronica Mars). It works really nicely on Macbooks if you set the background colour to black and the alignment setting to center. Click on the thumbnail to get to the actual size.

so, i lied. this batch was inspired by setissma and her recent meme, in which people give love to others simply because they can. it, in turn, was inspired by a project, aptly titled the you are beautiful project.

I feel very uninspired, lately, when it comes to iconning. Does anyone have any requests for things that they'd like to see?

So, since I've been listening to Dress To Kill on repeat (yes, literally, the entire thing has been listened to four times today, total), I thought it only fitting to make at least a few icons. All text.
